United States Library of Congress to Include The Initiative's Website In its Historical Archives


United States Library of Congress Reading Room

The Initiative's website and related social media sites will form part of the library's web archive relating to gender issues in Afghanistan, Iran, Pakistan and Tajikistan.


WASHINGTON, DC - October 16, 2020 - The Initiative To Educate Afghan Women was informed by the US Library of Congress that its website and related social media records would become part of the library's web archive of historical documents relating to Gender Issues in Afghanistan, Iran, Pakistan and Tajikistan.


The Library of Congress preserves important cultural artifacts and provides enduring access to them. The Library's traditional functions, acquiring, cataloging, preserving and serving collection materials of historical importance to foster education and scholarship. The Library will make this collection available to researchers at Library facilities and by special arrangement.
