Fereshta Noori Begins Engineering Career in Afghanistan

Initiative and Smith College Class of 2018 alumna is technical advisor to Office of the President

 

KABUL, AFGHANISTAN - AUGUST 3, 2018 - The Initiative To Educate Afghan Women is delighted to share that Smith College Picker Engineering Program graduate Fereshta Noori (Smith College 2018), pictured above with Smith College 1968 graduate Congresswoman Niki Tsongas (D-MA), has accepted an offer as Technical Assistant to the General Directorate of the Operation, Finance and Administration Support Unit of the Office of the President of Afghanistan in Kabul! 

 

In her new professional role, Fereshta advises on a variety of technical aspects of development projects supervised by her office including the rebuilding of Darul Aman Palace in Kabul.

 

Thank you to the Board of Directors, Advisory Board and Legacy Circle members as well as the many friends of The Initiative who helped Fereshta build her professional networks in Afghanistan and the United States during this important step on her professional journey!
