Shahrzad Koofi Ahmadi Begins Summer Internship at The Asia Foundation, Serves Two Organizations

June 25, 2018

Shahrzad Koofi Ahmadi (Montclair State University 2021) secured a prestigious internship with The Asia Foundation through The Initiative’s Summer Internship in Afghanistan Program, which requires students return home each summer to pursue service opportunities and internships to ease their country's immediate skilled labor shortage.

Throughout Asia, The Asia Foundation works to improve governance, law, and civil society; empower women; strengthen economic reform and development; and promote international relations. This summer, The Asia Foundation, offered three programmatic areas from which to choose: education, women’s empowerment and support to the American University of Afghanistan on improving administrative and financial management systems.

Shahrzad, an economics major with a deep interest in education, will be working to support the American University of Afghanistan as a finance intern in their finance, human resources and procurement departments - a perfect match of talent and task!

Congratulations, Shahrzad!
