Summer Internship in Afghanistan Program Expands

The Initiative’s Summer Internship in Afghanistan program is expanding! This program allows Initiative students to return to Afghanistan each summer to offer their talents, time, and education in a variety of organizations. Their work highlights The Initiative’s core values of Leadership and Service and builds meaningful bridges with local NGOs and community members in Afghanistan. Congratulations to our students and many thanks to all of the wonderful organizations who partnered with The Initiative in the summers of 2016 and 2017!

For the summer of 2018, new partnerships have been forged, providing a wider range of opportunities for our students. New organizations include: Afghanistan Institute of Learning, Afghanistan National Institute of Music, Afghanistan Women’s Chamber of Commerce and Industries, Bayat Foundation, International Rescue Committee, Kakar Advocates, Lapis Communications, Moby Group Afghanistan, Sayara Strategy, Social Safety and Protection Organization, and Teach for Afghanistan.
